Chris serves out Eastern North Carolina & Virginia regions. He has over 20 years of technical sales experience. He began his sales career in 1995 after earning his Mechanical Engineering degree. He elevated to roles as Product Manager and Business Development Manager over a 15 year career with an OEM automotive supplier. Chris earned his MBA in 2007 and joined Russ Sorrells at Advanced Solutions for Mfg. in 2009. Since that time he has grown the customer base in the region and supported the creation of Capex Sales, LLC.
After graduating from Purdue University, Russ went to work as a manufacturing engineer for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, IN. In 1998 Russ crossed over to the “dark side” according to his engineering colleagues and began a sales career. He cut his teeth in sales covering Michigan and Wisconsin. In late 2004 he moved to the Carolina’s to start Advanced Solutions for Mfg. The South has continued to grow, and the customers have been awesome! We have sold over $200MM of equipment since launching in 2004. We recently joined forces with another successful agency located in Tennessee to form CapEx Sales. Our customers continue to bless us, and the companies we represent continue to deliver!
Mike Dorsey joins us with a wealth of experience in the capital equipment market. Prior to crossing over to the dark side into sales, Mike was an applications engineer for ATC Automation. Mike sings in an award-winning barbershop quartet and enjoys wood working. He has 30 plus years of experience serving manufacturing customers and will be covering the South Carolina region. He is a customer advocate and someone that will provide unconditional support for his customers.
Adam Hooper moved to Asheville, North Carolina from Ohio with his wife, Staci, several years after meeting at The Ohio State University. He has since grown his family by two Boxer dogs and a son who all spend as much time in the great outdoors as possible. Adam began his career in the fast-paced consulting world of the oil and gas industry where he focused on meeting and exceeding the needs of his customers. This devotion to the customer lead to a 6 year technical sales career spanning seven states in the Southeast US. Now serving the Western North Carolina and Northern South Carolina regions for CapEx Sales, Adam is ready to go the extra mile to ensure his customers are delivered the quality products and service that they deserve.
